SilverStone has listed the CS240, a 21.65-liter Mini-ITX NAS case with four hot-swappable 2.5-inch U.2 drive bays supporting tri-mode NVMe, SAS, and SATA storage. First shown at Computex 2026, the case targets builders wanting compact, high-speed home or small-office storage builds.

SilverStone has quietly listed the CS240, a Mini-ITX NAS case first shown at Computex 2026, according to TechPowerUp. The chassis packs four hot-swappable 2.5-inch U.2 drive bays into a compact 21.65-liter footprint measuring 211 x 285 x 360 mm, built from a mix of aluminium, plastic, and steel.

The four external bays run in tri-mode, supporting NVMe U.2 (SFF-8639), SAS, and SATA drives up to 15mm thick, connected through a backplane with dual SlimSAS 8i (SFF-8654) connectors over PCIe 4.0 x4. An additional internal bay adds room for either one 3.5-inch drive or two 2.5-inch drives, giving builders flexibility beyond the hot-swap cage.

Despite its NAS focus, the CS240 doesn't skimp on general PC building features. It supports Deep Mini-ITX and Mini-DTX motherboards, two expansion slots, and GPUs up to 300mm long and 168mm wide with an integrated support bracket. Cooling comes via three pre-installed 120mm fans (one rear, two side-mounted), with the side positions also able to swap in three 80mm fans, plus support for a single 120mm radiator at the rear. CPU coolers up to 182mm tall and SFX/SFX-L power supplies up to 140mm are supported, according to both TechPowerUp and KitGuru.

No official pricing or availability has been confirmed by SilverStone, though the case has already surfaced on European retailer Alternate at €349, per TechPowerUp's report. Front I/O is straightforward, with one USB-C port, two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, and a combo audio jack.
