AMD or NVIDIA for creator work?
NVIDIA gives you CUDA, OptiX, DLSS, and broader software support — pick NVIDIA if your stack includes Octane Render, OptiX denoise, or CUDA-only AI training. AMD gives you more VRAM at the same price (RX 7900 XTX has 24 GB) and works natively with DaVinci Resolve, Blender HIP, Adobe Suite, OBS, and ROCm-compatible AI tools. If you do mostly editing, photo work, and AI generation, AMD is the value pick. If you depend on a CUDA-only app even occasionally, NVIDIA is the safe pick.
How much RAM do I really need?
For single-app focused workflows (one 4K timeline open, one Blender scene loaded, one Photoshop project): 32 GB is fine. For multi-app pipelines where you keep multiple GPU-accelerated apps open simultaneously (Resolve + Substance + Octane, or Premiere + After Effects + Photoshop): 64–96 GB removes the constant memory-clearing. For 8K multi-camera editing or large dataset AI work: step up to a Threadripper PRO build with 256 GB+ ECC.
When should I step up to the RTX 5090?
When you hit VRAM walls. The RTX 5090 has 32 GB of GDDR7 vs the 5080's 16 GB. The extra 16 GB matters for: full-resolution Flux LoRA training, single-scene Octane / Redshift renders over 16 GB, 70B+ parameter LLM inference on a single card, and large 8K texture work. For SDXL, Blender Cycles, 4K editing, and 13B-34B LLMs, the 5080 is fully sufficient and saves $2,500.

Is same-day pickup real?
Yes for in-stock builds. Order placed by 4 PM EST ships same-day from our Vaughan, Ontario facility, or is ready for in-shop pickup. Built-to-order custom configurations are 2 weeks or less from order confirmation.
